Tips for using MIEBO

I’ve been on a football field my whole life.
But my job now requires me to see the game from way up in a press box and then break it down for millions of people watching at home.
It’s an entirely new perspective.
Obviously, my sight is really important for that. And for a while, I couldn’t see as well due to my dry eye symptoms.
I’ve had chronic dry eye for years. And no matter what I did, I couldn't escape it.
I spend a lot of time under bright studio lights and feeling the grittiness and scratchiness in my eyes was tough.
I started to feel desperate to find relief.
I met with a lot of eye doctors to see what my options were. It took a while, but I finally found a doctor that diagnosed me with dry eye disease.
He wanted to get me started on prescription MIEBO, a treatment option that directly targets too much tear evaporation.
He explained that my tears were evaporating quicker than my eyes could make them. He even told me that my previous Lasik procedure could have intensified my dry eye symptoms.
He explained that MIEBO forms a protective layer to help keep moisture in.
To my relief, using MIEBO helped with the discomfort and irritation.
It had a nice soothing feeling on my eyes. I also noticed that there wasn’t any pain or weird sensations when using it.
Now that I’ve had some relief from the rough, gritty feeling, I definitely feel more present.
MIEBO has fit right into my routine. I make sure I always have it with me whether it’s at home, in my travel bag, or in the studio.
On the field, you learn to adjust, to switch up a play, and keep going. That’s how I’ve approached my dry eye. I’ve been through a lot, but MIEBO’s helped me stay focused on what’s in front of me.
It’s so important to go find an eye doctor that is willing to find the treatment that works for you.
