Dry eye 101
So Doctor B., you have a lot to say about treating dry eye. So tell us a little bit about the basics.
The vast majority of patients that I see have a form of evaporative dry eye. I mean, it might be probably the most underdiagnosed, ubiquitous condition that I see.
It’s easily 80-90% of my patients.
MIEBO is targeted for tear evaporation.
Choosing MIEBO
So for years I was using lubricating drops.
What was it that made you want to change me over to using MIEBO?
The way you were describing what was going on—it’s classic. You know? Towards the end of the day I don’t do as well, or I can’t stay on the computer as long, or that classic, you know, things just aren’t sharp.
Yeah. It was like a light went on when I was talking to you about, you know, what I was experiencing… and it was like you knew exactly what you wanted to do treatment-wise for me.
How MIEBO helps
Now that you’ve been on MIEBO, how do you think it’s affecting your evaporative dry eye symptoms?
I feel so much better as far as, like, the grittiness and, you know, the focus, and not really feeling the irritants anymore that I used to feel before, as far as, like, burning or just that sandpaper-like feeling.
And so it’s nice because I’m still very much on my phone, binge watching, computer, working, traveling.
So it’s been a great change for me over the course of this time.
